This study aims to map the development of employee well-being research in Bali’s hotel sector, identify dominant research themes, and analyze contemporary challenges affecting workforce well-being within the hospitality industry. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) combined with thematic mapping analysis. A total of 30 scholarly articles related to employee well-being in Bali’s hospitality sector were selected and analyzed. The findings indicate that employee well-being has evolved into a strategic organizational issue, particularly in the post-pandemic era. The dominant research themes include psychological well-being, workplace stress and burnout, leadership and organizational support, employee engagement, work-life balance, and sustainable human resource management. The study also highlights emerging issues such as workforce resilience, generational workforce adaptation, digital transformation, and sustainability-oriented HR practices. Furthermore, previous studies remain dominated by quantitative approaches focusing on causal relationships, while qualitative and longitudinal studies remain limited. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive thematic mapping of employee well-being research within Bali’s hospitality industry and highlighting future research directions related to sustainable workforce management.
